Open Innovation Challenge

Section 1: Brief

The Open AI Innovation Challenge is grounded in the principle of open innovation, where solutions shaping the future of industry, enterprise, and livelihoods are developed collaboratively rather than in silos.

It brings together innovators, enterprises, researchers, and practitioners to address structural challenges in productivity, sustainability, and economic resilience across the Global South.

Open AI Innovation positions artificial intelligence as a shared enabler, making advanced capabilities accessible, adaptable, and deployable across diverse industrial and enterprise contexts.

By promoting interoperable and field-ready AI solutions, the Challenge supports productivity enhancement, cost efficiency, workforce empowerment, and the creation of resilient enterprises.

Aligned with the theme “The Future of Industry, Enterprise and Livelihood in the Global South”, the Challenge serves as a platform to validate, showcase, and scale proven AI innovations that strengthen livelihoods, modernize industry, and drive inclusive economic growth.
